London is located in Canada in the southwestern pocket of the Province of Ontario. Its always been a city rich in railroad history and today still hosts CN and CPKC mainline tracks. CN and CP trains in London are bound to and from the United States. London Ontario is also a busy station stop for VIA Rail Canada corridor passenger trains going to and from Windsor/Sarnia/London stations
Railroad History
This is Mile 77.5 on the Dundas Subdivision, CN's main artery running west out of Bayview Junction in Hamilton, straight through to London. Just a little over a mile back east is London Junction, where the Guelph Subdivision comes in to meet the Dundas Sub. That's also where CN's London Yard is located. And just west, less than a mile further, is the VIA Rail London train station. This is where the Dundas Sub Ends and the Strathroy Sub Begins.
